“The summers here are glorious!” is a constant rebuttal among Portlanders to the accusation that it rains all the time. And while this may be true most years, it’s unequivocally false this summer. The weather has been utterly depressing.

Luckily for us, we’ve spent most of the summer outside of the Northwest—in Florida, New York and New Hampshire, so our bodies are rationing the leftover vitamin D from our trips.

If we don’t have nice weather soon, we may need to invest in a weekend warm, for our sanity.
