Soccer fever is spreading in Portland. This year, the Timbers, which have had a rabid following for many years, joined the MLS. I wouldn’t say that we’re die-hard fans, but it’s fun to have good soccer games so accessible.

Last night, I went with a few friends; Paul, Blakely and Bob to the Timbers vs Ajax game. Ajax is a top European team from Amsterdam that is traveling through the US and it was really fun to see a growing American team play a European superpower. Timbers lost 2-0, but it was a great experience.
